Thanks for sharing, I agree your insight and guide to writing a better query has also helped me considerably. Since taking note, I have had 2 responses from the letters I sent. Also thanks for sharing Dylan's story, I think a lot of people need to hear more stories from the outliers.
Both requested my work (feature screenplay : ) One in the way of an email, the other an in person meeting. So now just staying in touch and patiently waiting for them to be read. I respect that the biz is slow, so I'm being patient. ( btw I only sent out 4 new queries since taking your advice)

Smart! And yes, patience is the name of the game. A 50% success rate of responses is an excellent result.
