Really enjoyed this one! It's so hard to figure out what to focus on to achieve screenwriting success - especially when there is no direct path. These milestones provide much needed clarity and encouragement.
Thanks so much, Audrey. Everything I've read from you is so helpful! Perhaps I've missed it, but I'm wondering if you have suggestions or exercises for finding one's voice, themes, genre. I assume this would begin with some kind of analysis of one's personal life story, but I'd love to hear any tips you may have.
Ooh this is not something I have gotten into yet, but I would love to! It's quite a big topic, but I'll see what I can put together. My short answer in the meantime is to keep an eye out for next week's article in which I talk about the different stages of a professional writing career.
Hi, Sara B. I would like to offer something to read that speaks to finding your voice. If it inspires you, great! Check out "How to Find Your Voice as a Writer" on my blog at medium.com/toniholm Good luck and write, write, write!

Thanks, Marielle! I'm glad you found the specific finish lines helpful. I'm really working to put agency back into writers' hands in their careers.
I appreciate it / you!
Thank you, this is really great advice and I’m excited to get to 5 of 5.
You will! With consistent progress and prioritizing your craft every day, that is what you're going to build to.
Audrey, thank you for these 5 milestones! Excellent!
Thanks, Toni! I'm glad you found this list helpful.
