As a literary manager, I spend every day trying to get my clients hired to write on TV shows. Now more often than ever, I'm hearing "The Showrunners already know who they want to hire."

Showrunning is one of the hardest jobs in entertainment.

That person is Executive Producer of a whole TV show. They are in charge of creative, and they are basically the CEO of every single aspect of the entire production.
