I will be the first person to admit that working as an assistant is not fun.
Assistant jobs are underpaid, the hours are long, they are thankless, and the work is boring. Starting as an assistant isn’t the only way to start a career in Hollywood. It’s not even the best way. It might not be for you.
Right now, the job market is tough for everyone at every level. But just because it’s harder than ever to get an entry level job does not mean that it’s impossible.
You just need to be more strategic and persistent than ever.
